Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College invites applications for Adjunct Faculty – Cloud Technologies in Indianapolis. This part-time role involves delivering Cloud Technologies coursework, utilizing technology, and maintaining student records within FERPA and college standards.

The position requires meeting program standards through multiple pathways, including advanced degrees or documented professional credentials, and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices that respect diverse student backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Possesses a master’s degree or higher in information systems, information technology or related field as appropriate to the program; or
• Possesses a master’s degree with documented 18 semester hours beyond introductory level in IS/IT or related field; or
• Possesses a master’s or bachelor’s degree with documented qualifying criteria (certification, work experience, teaching excellence, research/publication, or additional coursework) as listed

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
• Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
• Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning.
• Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines and expectations.
• Maintain a safe, quality educational environment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to promote an environment that reflects the broad backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.

Education

Master’s degree or higher in information systems / information technology or related field

Master’s degree with 18+ semester hours in IS/IT or related field

Master’s or bachelor’s degree with two or more qualifying criteria (certification / two years in-field / teaching excellence / research & publication / additional coursework)

Bachelor’s degree with two or more qualifying criteria (certification / two years in-field / teaching excellence / research & publication / additional coursework)
