Job summary

Aptitude Software Limited is seeking a motivated part-time IT Engineer (20 hours per week) to join the Internal IT team in our Boston office. You will provide hands-on support for office devices, manage endpoint security, and help keep systems secure and up to date.

The role emphasizes on-site presence, strong communication with end users, and collaboration with IT colleagues. Prior experience with endpoint management tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Knowledge of endpoint security concepts (antivirus, EDR, patching).
• Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN).
• Strong problem-solving and service-oriented mindset.
• Good communication and ability to work with end users.
• On-site office presence required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support for office users, troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Serve as first-line contact for IT issues, diagnose and resolve common problems.
• Monitor OS/software updates and security alerts on endpoint devices; escalate as needed.
