Job summary

The City of Georgetown, Texas is seeking a part-time, temporary warehouse specialist to support disbursements and receiving in Workday Inventory. Anticipated start date is October 5, 2026 with an anticipated end date of December 18, 2026.

Responsibilities include processing orders, restocking inventory, data entry in Workday, and maintaining safety standards in city warehouses. Prior warehouse experience preferred and standard OSHA guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of full-time warehouse, material handling, or electrical warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of fundamental inventory control procedures.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures.
• Knowledge of municipal water, wastewater, electric and other products.
• Knowledge of City purchasing laws and procedures.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines for warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Receives warehouse orders in Workday; processes requests and delivers stock to departments.
• Enters disbursements into Workday to ensure proper accounts and projects.
• Monitors stock levels; creates purchase orders to restock items.
• Inspects incoming stock; checks quantity against orders and resolves discrepancies.
• Maintains warehouse safety and order; performs clerical duties and basic repairs.
• Contacts vendors for pricing; uses bid sheets and tracks past-due deliveries.
• Processes pick tickets and weekly deliveries, including janitorial materials.
• Ensures compliance with safety guidelines across City warehouses.
