Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Clerk to support procurement and warehouse operations under the Warehouse Coordinator. You will assist with ordering, receiving, stock maintenance, and timely distribution of items to City departments.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, tracking orders, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining reorder points within inventory systems. A valid Texas driver license is required and forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in supplies, inventory control, computer warehouse operations, and maintenance of records and receipts.
• Possession of a valid class "C" Texas driver's license or higher.
• Knowledge of computerized inventory control software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with vendors to place and track orders.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and maintain inventory levels through cycle counts and reorder points.
• Maintain accurate records within computer-based inventory systems.
• Distribute materials to City departments and ensure timely deliveries.
• Safely operate heavy equipment; forklift certification preferred and trailer pulling capability.
