Job summary

Alvin Community College in Alvin, TX is seeking a Part-Time Instructor in our Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) department to provide instruction in customer service excellence. Classes may occur days, evenings, or weekends as needed.

The position is a non-tenure track pool for available assignments during the academic year, limited to up to 19 hours per week, with an emphasis on developing communication, problem-solving and relationship-management skills in students.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of professional communication, customer relationship management, conflict resolution, service recovery, and customer experience principles.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Teach customer service principles and professional communication.
• Develop and deliver instruction in relationship management and customer interactions.
• Incorporate role-playing, simulations and workplace scenarios to develop practical customer service skills.
• Provide instruction in telephone, email, chat, social media, and other digital channels.
