Job summary

Alvin Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join its Continuing Education Workforce Development (CEWD) as a Part-Time Instructor Pool. Available assignments are limited to 19 hours per week, with an hourly rate to be determined.

Applications are reviewed throughout the academic year based on departmental needs and may include phone or email interviews. Responsibilities include developing and delivering instruction in equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem solving for

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.
Demonstrated understanding of systematic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, diagnostic tools, technical documentation, equipment safety, and root-cause analysis.
Good communication and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver instruction in equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and problem solving.
Teach systematic troubleshooting methods including information gathering, testing, diagnosis and corrective action.
Instruct students in identifying mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system problems.
Provide instruction in the safe use of tools, diagnostic instruments, meters, gauges and other equipment.
