Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework or passing district assessment.
• Experience with children of varying assets and abilities preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications, and Type 10 or 20 driver licensure if required by administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct instruction according to student needs under the teacher's direction.
• Prepare materials for instruction as directed by the teacher.
• Provide individualized and small group instruction under the direction of the teacher.
• Record and maintain accurate student data to document student performance and progress.
• Promote safety and help students develop self-confidence and social skills.
• Supervise students inside and outside the classroom to support instructional and behavioral programs.
