The Instructional Assistant fills a critical role in implementing and serving students with disabilities under the direction of the special education teacher and principal.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Must enjoy working with children.
• Must be PA-qualified by one of the listed options.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special needs under the supervision of the teacher and principal.
• Assist during Bocce activities before/after school and weekends.
• Follow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.

Must enjoy working with children.

Must be considered highly qualified in the state of PA by completing at least one of the listed requirements below:

• Have completed at least 2 years of postsecondary study (48 credits) or
• Possess an associated degree or higher or
• Meet a rigorous standard of quality as demonstrated through a State or local assessment (Paraeducator Credential of Competence).

The position will work supporting students with special needs during Bocce activities before or after school/weekends during the school year.

Terms of employment:

The position will work as needed depending on the activity/sport schedule.
