Job summary

Winchester Public Library in Winchester, VA seeks an energetic Part-time Information Services Librarian to deliver reference and readers advisory services for teens and adults. The role reports to the Head of Technology and Information Services.

Responsibilities include assisting with computer applications, print management, portable devices, and managing downloads from OverDrive and other platforms. Excellent public service, and oral and written communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• MLS degree from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Recent MLS graduates with some library experience are encourage to apply.
• Excellent public service and oral and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general reference and readers advisory.
• Offer technical assistance with computer applications and the library's print management system.
• Assist with portable devices and digital downloads (OverDrive and other apps) for teens and adults.
• Report to the Head of Technology and Information Services.
