Job summary

United Way Miami is seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher-Part-Time to provide a safe, nurturing environment and foster children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. The role includes designing a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Head Start standards.

The position involves collaborating with the EHS-CCP Site Director, observing and documenting progress, and partnering with families to support each child’s growth.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED and Florida DCF 45-hour child care training completed.
• Experience: One year of experience working with young children in an early childhood setting preferred.
• Technology: Knowledge of modern web browsers, Beginning Word, Beginning Outlook.
• Other knowledge: Understanding of Visible Thinking, Multiple Intelligence, Dual Language, Inclusion, and Early Literacy strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers.
• Design and implement a reflective, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Observe, document, and monitor each child’s health, behavior, growth and development.
• Plan responsive instruction based on observations and assessments.
• Collaborate with the Site Director and Family Engagement staff to communicate with families.
