Job summary

Ivy Tech Bloomington is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach Industrial Technology courses in the upcoming semester. Adjuncts earn $46.75 per contact hour (hours with students) and can teach up to 13 hours per week. Most courses run 8 weeks with day and evening offerings.

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until positions are filled. Ivy Tech is committed to supporting well-being and benefits for part-time employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an associate degree plus 5 years of relevant experience;
• Journeyman’s card in the related discipline with COR-aligned credentials;
• Or a combination of specialized certifications and 5 years related work experience;
• Option 4: Workplace Specialist or Technology Education/CTE license aligned to course objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned Industrial Technology courses in accordance with college policies and course objectives.
• Utilize available technology to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
• Develop and maintain syllabi, outlines, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
• Foster an engaging classroom environment and adhere to FERPA and college guidelines.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed in classrooms and labs.

Education

Associate degree + 5 years experience

Journeyman’s card in related discipline (COR aligned)

Workplace Specialist License / Technology Education License (or CTE)

Any specialized certifications required for the class (COR)
