United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire is seeking a Part-Time Respite Worker in Palm Desert, CA. The role involves providing intermittent, regular scheduled care for a client in coordination with Inland Regional Center, including home visits, feeding, dressing, toileting, and safety supervision.

The job requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficient.

Responsabilidades

• Provide responsible care so that family stability may be restored or maintained in families with developmentally disabled members.
• Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment.
• Follow instructions for the care of clients/consumers and siblings as outlined by parent(s)/guardian(s).
• Assist client/consumer(s) in feeding, dressing, toileting, grooming, light meal preparation, etc.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications and keep on file.
