Job summary

The YMCA of San Diego County is seeking an In-Home Respite Provider to support clients with autism and developmental disabilities in North County Inland & Coastal areas. You will help clients improve independence, socialization and community involvement in home and community settings.

This is a part-time, in-person role serving ages 3 to 73, with flexible scheduling and evening/weekend flexibility. You must reside within the San Diego County region or within a 40-mile radius of the county and

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of caregiving or related experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
• Must have access to reliable transportation to travel throughout San Diego County.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care and supervision for respite clients in homes and community settings.
• Engage with clients and families to support independence, socialization and safety.
• Communicate effectively with families and supervisor to ensure continuity of care.
• Address social, safety and personal hygiene needs of clients with developmental disabilities.
• Coordinate a flexible, part-time schedule and may include evenings/weekends.
• Follow policies, procedures and relevant regulatory guidelines (CCR Title 17, DDS, San Diego Regional Center).
