Job summary

Gas South District is seeking a Part-time Ice Floor Technician to prepare and maintain the arena ice for hockey practices, games, and other events. The role includes installing ice, painting lines and logos, and building up the ice sheet, as well as operating resurfacing equipment and monitoring environmental conditions.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with ice making coursework as a strong plus, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited ice making technology courses is a strong plus.
• Experience with ice installation, prep, and maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ice installation, freezing, painting, lines and logos.
• Prepare and refresh ice for practices, games, and events.
• Operate and maintain ice resurfacer and ice edger.
• Monitor temperature and humidity levels in the arena.
• Maintain glass and dasher walls and respond to alarms.
