Job summary

Glencoe Park District in Glencoe, IL, is seeking a Part-Time Ice Facility Manager to oversee daily operations at our two-sheet ice facility. You will operate the Zamboni, supervise cashier, skate guard, and party attendant staff, perform nightly closing procedures, and support emergency response planning.

This seasonal role runs November to March, up to 15–35 hours per week, with evenings and weekends required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience driving a Zamboni, managing staff, and managing a facility
• Must possess a valid Driver's Licenses.
• Must possess CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or willing to obtain within one month of hire.
• Must pass the Glencoe Park District Vehicle Training.
• All employees must pass a criminal background check; the Glencoe Park District will cover.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Zamboni and keep the ice clean and safe.
• Assist with the maintenance of the facility by cleaning lobby, restrooms, offices, and other areas.
• Supervise cashier, skate guard, and party attendant staff.
• Oversee facility operations, including nightly closing procedures.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety reporting.
• Prepare rink for special events and attend staff meetings.
• Open and close the building; ensure daily checklists are completed.
