MD Hyperbaric is seeking a dedicated part-time Hyperbaric Technician for our Syracuse location. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality HBOT care, manage patient intake, and ensure smooth daily operations with emphasis on safety and customer service.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients during sessions, assisting with checkout and rebooking, processing payments, and maintaining chamber turnover and oxygen supplies. Evening and Saturday availability is required.

Qualificações

• Current certification or licensure as an EMT, LPN, RN, or other relevant clinical credentials.
• CPR/BLS certification required (or must be obtained prior to start date)
• Certification as a Hyperbaric Technician is preferred
• Previous experience in a medical or healthcare setting, preferably with direct patient care
• Strong understanding of hyperbaric therapy principles and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and compassionately
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and cleanliness

Responsabilidades

• Conduct initial intake of patients, verifying appointments and preparing them for their HBOT session
• Ensure all necessary paperwork and consents are completed prior to the session
• Review safety protocols and educational materials with patients, ensuring they understand the procedure and addressing any questions or concerns
• Continuously monitor patients during their HBOT sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or patient needs during the session
• Assist patients with checkout processes, including rebooking for future sessions as needed
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and answer any follow-up questions
• Process payments and present pricing materials to patients, effectively communicating the value and benefits of continued HBOT sessions to close sales
• Ensure efficient turnover of hyperbaric chambers between sessions, including cleaning and preparing the chamber for the next patient
• Monitor oxygen supplies, ensuring adequate levels for treatment sessions
• Swap oxygen cylinders as needed, following all safety protocols
• Maintain overall tidiness and cleanliness of the center, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols to ensure a safety environment for patients and staff
• Coordinate the scheduling and flow of patients and sessions to maximize efficiency and minimize wait times
