Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Coordinator to support a growing Epilepsy Program research portfolio. The CRC will coordinate study visits, manage data in REDCap/Excel, assist with regulatory submissions, and collaborate with the PI and sponsors to ensure compliant, timely study execution.

The position requires CITI training and familiarity with RAMS-SPOT, PROC, and IRB submissions, with a strong, independent, and collaborative work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 1 year of experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of clinical research principles and human subjects protection.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• 1–3 years of clinical research or healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating clinical research studies.
• Experience with industry-sponsored trials and CROs (IQVIA).
• Familiarity with pediatric research and/or rare diseases.
• Experience with REDCap or similar data management systems.
• Working knowledge of RAMS-SPOT, PROC, IRB.
• CITI and/or GCP certification at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage clinical research activities from start-up through closeout.
• Screen, recruit, and consent eligible participants per protocol and IRB requirements.
• Schedule study visits and ensure protocol adherence and participant safety.
• Collect data and maintain source documentation.
• Manage data entry and maintenance in REDCap, Excel, and sponsor databases.
• Maintain regulatory documentation including IRB submissions and GCP training.
