Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to support a growing research portfolio including clinical studies, quality improvement, and therapeutic trials. The CRC will assist the PI with regulatory compliance, study visits, data management, and grant activities in a hybrid work setting.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 1 year of experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with REDCap and IRB processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of clinical research principles and human subjects protection.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage clinical research activities from start-up through closeout.
• Screen, recruit, and consent eligible participants per protocol and IRB.
• Schedule visits, ensure protocol adherence and participant safety.
• Perform data collection, source documentation, and medical record abstraction.
• Maintain data in REDCap, Excel, and sponsor databases.
• Support grant reporting and collaboration with PI and CRC leadership.
