Assignments are made on an as-needed basis and may include day, evening, weekend, online, or hybrid classes at any of the District’s colleges. The role emphasizes engaging, student-centered teaching and adherence to approved course outlines and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications as established by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.
• Official transcripts and detailed record of relevant professional work experience must be provided.
• Equivalency determinations may be requested via the Equivalency Committee.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved course outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver effective, student-centered instruction using evidence-based teaching practices.
• Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance in a timely and equitable manner and maintain accurate academic records.
• Submit grades and other required reports by established deadlines.
• Create an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain regular communication with students and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Utilize the District's learning management system and other instructional technologies as appropriate.
• Comply with District policies, collective bargaining agreements, accreditation standards, and applicable federal and state regulations.
• Participate in department meetings, professional development, and other college activities as appropriate for part-time faculty.
