The Nightingale-Bamford School seeks a part-time athletic trainer (25 hours per week) to provide athletic training services to student-athletes, primarily focusing on assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning in accordance with the NYS athletic training practice act.

This role reports to the Director of Athletics and Physical Education, with general hours 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM on school days, and occasional weekend events.

Formación

• NATABOC certification required.
• Registered Athletic Trainer with NYSED Office of Professions.
• CPR/AED & First Aid certification.
• BS in Athletic Training required.
• NSCA Certification preferred.
• Experience with high school-aged athletes.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning for injured student-athletes.
• Cover afternoon practices and home games; set up and break down water and ice equipment.
• Inform coaches of health concerns for athletes on rosters.
• Support concussion team; administer ImPACT baseline and post-injury testing for grades 5–12.
• Maintain Emergency Action Plans and environmental hazard guidelines.
• Coordinate with full-time staff for continuity of care and handoff of notes.
• Restock training room supplies and med-kits; perform other tasks as assigned.

Educación

BS in Athletic Training

NSCA CSTS preferred
