Job summary

Middlesex School is seeking a Part-time Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic trainer coverage for school athletic programs. You will practice under Massachusetts Athletic Trainers licensing standards and NATA Standards of Practice while supporting student-athletes with health, safety, performance and recovery.

Responsibilities include injury assessment, rehabilitation, on-campus/off-campus coverage, documentation in SportsWare, equipment provisioning, and collaboration with coaches and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in athletic training required.
  • BOC certification as Athletic Trainer required.
  • Massachusetts state license required.
  • CPR, First Aid and AED certificates required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and injury assessment for Middlesex School student athletes.
  • Provide rehabilitation services for Middlesex School student athletes.
  • Care and coverage for on-campus and some off-campus events and practices as assigned.
  • Apply indicated injury risk reduction methods to students.
  • Communicate with coaches, parents and health care providers within confidentiality.
  • File all reports related to athletic injuries or incidents in SportsWare or written forms.
  • Maintain a daily treatment log in SportsWare.
  • Supply each team with appropriate medical equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
