Job summary

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Essex, MD is seeking a qualified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive healthcare and sports medicine services to student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer reports directly to the Athletic Director and will oversee prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of injuries and illnesses while collaborating with coaches and medical staff.

This part-time role may become full-time if the candidate is willing to teach high school classes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from an accredited institution.
• Current BOC certification as an Athletic Trainer.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications on file.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training coverage for practices, competitions, and events.
• Evaluate and treat athletic injuries and illnesses.
• Deliver first aid and immediate injury management.
• Develop and monitor rehabilitation and return-to-play plans.
• Maintain medical records and confidentiality for student-athletes.
• Communicate with parents/guardians and staff about injuries and safety.
