Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Paradise Valley, AZ seeks a Part-time Food & Beverage Server to deliver warm, attentive service and support a high-volume restaurant environment. You will greet guests, take orders, upsell, and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams while maintaining menus knowledge and wine service standards.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of serving experience, knowledge of wine/spirits/beer, and a valid Food Handlers certification, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of serving experience in high-volume or upscale settings.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer required.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Unexpired Food Handlers certification obtained upon hire.
• Adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for the restaurant as needed.
• Cross-train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.
