Job summary

Aloft Houston Downtown is seeking a part-time bartender to provide energetic and friendly beverage service to restaurant and bar guests. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, accurate orders, and teamwork in a fast-paced hotel setting.

You will maintain bar organization, stock, mixology, and POS transactions, while upholding cleanliness and hospitality standards across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or service preferred.
• Knowledge of drink preparation and bartending techniques.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and describe beverage options.
• Maintain proper bar setup and organization.
• Stock beer, wine, spirits, garnishes and bar supplies.
• Mix, garnish and present drinks with standard recipes.
• Handle POS transactions and cash handling.
• Attend monthly departmental meetings.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness around the bar area.
• Collaborate with service and kitchen teams to provide a great guest experience.
