The University of the District of Columbia — UDC College of Arts & Sciences is seeking enthusiastic part-time instructors to teach courses in Hospitality and Tourism under the Division of Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning (WDLL). Instructors must design and deliver coursework, assess student progress, and employ a variety of teaching methods to engage learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in the subject matter area.
• Prior teaching experience in the subject field or demonstrated teaching potential.
• Must possess current certification in the subject matter.
• Familiar with subject area certification processes, guidelines, and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on, guided instruction to students enrolled in the courses as scheduled.
• Participate in evaluating and selecting textbooks and instructional materials; prepare course materials and lesson plans.
• Conduct effective classroom management and delivery of approved syllabus.
• Use the LMS to post syllabus, assignments, and communicate with students in a timely manner.
• Deliver course content using varied teaching styles and engaging assignments with real-world applications.
• Maintain student records and submit rosters and grades by deadlines.
• Adhere to university and division policies and guidelines in academics and conduct.
