Job summary

Central Piedmont Community College seeks a Part-Time Continuing Education Instructor in the Business and Public Services Technologies department. Classes are held mostly on campus with some online or off-site locations; you will teach front desk, housekeeping, restaurant service, and related hotel and hospitality topics.

You will develop and update course materials, coordinate with industry partners for field trips and internships, monitor attendance and grades, and help students plan career

Qualifications

• High school diploma and three years of lodging industry experience.
• Associate's degree in Hospitality and Tourism preferred with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching adult learners in a career or technical field.

Responsibilities

• Instruct courses and demonstrate effective teaching techniques.
• Develop and update course outlines and materials.
• Prepare records: attendance, grades, course files and evaluations.
• Assist in planning class schedules and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor facilities for safety and maintenance.
• Design and customize training programs for organizations.
• Coordinate off-campus industry field trips and guest speakers.
• Stay current on industry trends to inform delivery.
• Advise students on course information and career goals.
• Teach in online, traditional, or hybrid environments.
• Adhere to college policies and requirements.
