Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Hospital Patrol Security Officer in Memphis, TN. You will monitor healthcare facilities, deter incidents, and provide exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors.

Position Type: Part Time with a flexible schedule and Shift-based hours. Pay Rate: $17.91 per hour. You will use a responsive approach to emergencies, report writing, and coordination with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, support access-control procedures, and provide directions or assistance to individuals throughout the location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
