Job summary

Allied Universal in Warrensville Heights, OH is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Hospital Access Control to provide patient and visitor security, follow site policies, and support emergency response as needed.

This role features fixed anchor shifts, the ability to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, a $16.00 per hour rate, hospital vaccination requirements, and a path to full-time scheduling up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals.
• CPR certification preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and compliance with site access procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
