Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Hospital Access Control in Avon, OH. You will safeguard patients, staff, and visitors while enforcing location procedures in a healthcare setting.

As a patient-facing security professional, you will patrol areas, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Requires the ability to work daytime night shifts and meet hospital vaccination and background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• This is a primarily driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and adherence to location entry procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific reporting requirements.
