Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of phlebotomy experience or a phlebotomy certificate.
• Hospital/lab experience preferred.
• Strong focus on patient safety and accurate specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary puncture.
• Provide phlebotomy services for inpatients, outpatients, and offsite areas per physician orders.
• Enter specimen data into computer systems and maintain logs and reports.
• Supervise and support medical technology students in phlebotomy training.
• Attend and present hospital in-service programs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for daily collections.
• Occasionally work other shifts or longer hours as needed.
• Perform related clerical duties.
