Job summary

Legacy Hospice is seeking a Part-Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers in the Winchester and Fredericksburg area. The role supports patients and families, coordinates with the hospice team, and ensures compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

Must be compassionate, organized, and excited to work in a fast-paced meaningful environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
Must be computer proficient, including background in EMR.
Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.
Minimum one year experience as a Volunteer Coordinator in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Recruit, train, supervise, and retain patient volunteers.
Coordinate volunteer assignments in alignment with the plan of care.
Monitor volunteer time logs and patient documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Develop and manage an active volunteer network for direct and in-direct patient care.
Collaborate with hospice team to establish volunteer service needs with patients and families.
