Job summary

Legacy Hospice is seeking a Part Time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train, supervise, and retain volunteers. You will align with the care plan and ensure compliance, while expanding outreach to community groups for opportunities.

The role supports a flexible schedule (20 hours/week) in the Winchester and Fredericksburg area, with a focus on compassionate, organized service and EMR familiarity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year experience as Volunteer Coordinator in healthcare preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
• Computer proficiency with EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise and retain volunteers.
• Coordinate volunteer services with patient and family/caregiver.
• Arrange volunteers to provide services per care plan.
• Supervise volunteers and evaluate performance annually.
• Develop and oversee an active volunteer network for direct/indirect care.
• Monitor time logs, data entry and patient documentation for compliance.
