Qualifikationen

• Meets the training requirements of the State.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training; 16 hours classroom prior to 16 hours practical.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
• Understands hospice philosophy and comfortable caring for the terminally ill.
• Satisfactory references from previous employers.
• Self-directed with minimal supervision and demonstrates calmness in a patient's home.

Aufgaben

• Perform personal care including baths, dressing, nutrition, and mobility as assigned.
• Provide compassionate communication to patients and families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Observe and report patient conditions and document care provided.
• Assist with basic tasks under RN supervision to promote comfort and safety.
• Support safety using equipment and observe infection control and safety procedures.
