Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team in Missouri on a part-time daytime schedule. You will provide PT services under the direction of a licensed PT, perform assessments, document progress, and coordinate care with the supervising clinician to help patients heal where they are most comfortable—at home.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate charting, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program (CAPTE).
• One year related PTA experience preferred for home health care.

Responsibilities

• Provides PT services under supervision and in accordance with plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient response to treatment.
• Documents supervisory activities and patient progress.
• Participates in care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates follow-up care.
