Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist for Day Visits in the Danbury area, serving patients where they feel most comfortable—at home. Clinical duties include evaluation, plan of care development, documentation, and supervision of home health aides

Qualifications

• Current license to practice occupational therapy in the state of assignment.
• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT program.
• Eligible to take or completed NBCOT certification exam.
• One year OT experience preferred; regional leadership approval may be required for <1 year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services per physician-approved plan of care.
• Ensure plan addresses problems identified in assessment and documents rationale.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of OT service delivery.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise home health aide when RN is not active in the case.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
