Job summary

Study Smart is seeking a Part-Time High School Math, Science, & Writing Tutor to support students in Antioch, CA after school. You will tutor Algebra 1 and 2, Calculus, Writing and Science, both in small and large groups, and you’ll have access to class assignments to tailor lessons.

A completed 4-year degree is required; in-person availability is essential; Wednesday and Thursday after-school hours are scheduled. You will pass a background check.

• Teaching or tutoring experience required.
• Experience tutoring high school subjects preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Tutor Algebra 1 and 2, Calculus, Writing and Science to high school students.
• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Have access to information about class assignments to tailor lessons.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff and collaborate with the Education team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
• In-person availability is required
• Scheduled hours: Wednesday and Thursday from after school.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
