Job summary

Study Smart Tutors is seeking a Part-Time 8th Grade Tutor in Livingston, TX to teach Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies after school.

You will work with small and large groups, access class assignments, adapt to new materials, and collaborate with our Education team to deliver effective learning strategies. Must have a four-year degree and be willing to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Availability Mondays through Fridays from during/afterschool hours.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Tutor small and large groups of students.
• Provide tutoring access to information about class assignments.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff.
• Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students.
