Study Smart seeks enthusiastic instructors for part-time High School Algebra and Geometry tutoring in Washington, DC. The role supports students in Geometry, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2, with group sizes varying and collaboration with the Education team to deliver effective learning strategies.

Requirements include a completed 4-year degree, in-person availability, and the ability to complete a background check. The schedule runs Tue–Thu 6:40 AM–9:55 AM EST with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a completed 4-year degree.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.
• In-person availability is required.
• Scheduled hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:40 AM to 9:55 AM EST.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Responsibilities

• Tutor Geometry, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2 to high school students.
• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Have access to information about class assignments and adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies.
