National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) seeks a Historic Preservation Programs Assistant in Omaha to support National Park Service programs through research, coordination, and program administration.

Requires MA/MS in history or related field with 15 years of relevant experience; strong NHL Act knowledge; proficiency with Windows, MS Word and MS Excel; part-time, at-will enrollment with up to 1300 funded hours.

Competenze

• MA/MS Degree in History, Anthropology, Architecture, Archeology, Landscape Architecture, Historic Preservation, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of additional experience in historic preservation or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act and NHL designation criteria.
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel.

Mansioni

• Supports NHL, Historic Surplus Property, National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, and Heritage Documentation Programs by coordinating and tracking related activities to maintain operational continuity.
• Assists with development and progression of historic preservation documentation and studies, including nominations, from early stages through draft completion.
• Coordinates research efforts, reviews draft documents, and assists with assembling bibliographies and identifying relevant scholarship.
• Provides support for compliance-related documentation and background materials related to federal historic preservation requirements.
• Maintains program records and correspondence, ensuring organization, accessibility, and consistency with NPS standards.
• Assists with coordination of review processes for nominations, documentation, and related materials.
