WVU Medicine Jackson General Hospital in Jackson, WV is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) in Medical Oncology to provide patient evaluations, plan of care, and peri-procedural support in the infusion center and ambulatory settings.

The role requires NP or PA credentials, strong hematology/oncology background, and ability to collaborate with faculty and staff; extensive patient care and educational responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification as an APRN (NP) or PA certification with valid WV licensure.
• Active RN/NP or PA license in West Virginia with BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Hematology/Oncology is preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage comprehensive, individualized care for hem/onc patients in infusion and ambulatory settings.
• Complete pre-treatment evaluations and participate in outpatient and inpatient care.
• Develop and implement care plans with the clinical team and coordinate follow-up.
• Demonstrate clinical decision-making, teaching, and patient education.
• Document care plans and test results in the medical record; ensure discharge planning.
