Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for a part-time shift at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. The role includes helping patients with menu selections, assembling and delivering meals, and ensuring dietary requirements are met.

Rotating weekends and a 3:30 pm–7:30 pm schedule accompany this position; training is provided. Qualified candidates should be able to read and write in English, have basic math and computer skills, and

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies and preferences; cultural, ethnic and religious needs.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Complies with regulator agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO; adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations and breaking down the tray line.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
