Hickory Creek Healthcare is seeking a caring Cook for the Hickory Creek at Winamac campus. This part-time role covers day and evening shifts, with a warm, team-oriented culture focused on resident nutrition and well-being.

You will follow menu cycles, prepare meals in institutional quantities, supervise staff, and adapt meals to residents' preferences. Prior food service experience and sanitation certification are preferred; generous benefits and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Make a difference in residents' lives by providing care with compassion.
• Onboard new teammates and be a positive team member.
• Follow recipes and prepare meals per menu cycles.
• Cook meals in institutional quantities at proper temperatures and times.
• Demonstrate, educate, and guide dietary staff on prep, garnishing, and presentation.
• Supervise dietary staff with food prep, trays, cleaning, and storage.
• Prepare food substitutes to accommodate resident preferences.
