Job summary

Hickory Creek at Madison is hiring a full-time Cook for 11:00am-7:00pm to join our culinary team and prepare nutritious meals for residents while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 years related experience). Preferred sanitation certification and prior institutional/healthcare food service experience are valued. We offer competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Preferred: Institutional or healthcare food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks palatable, attractive meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, tray assembly, cleaning and storage.
• Maintains a clean work area during service and preparation.
• Handles, stores and disposes of food per procedures and regulations.
