Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a part-time Cook for Hickory Creek at Madison in Madison, Indiana. Shift runs 11:00am–7:00pm, with duties including preparing meals, following menus to meet nutritional needs, and maintaining high sanitation standards for residents.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience. Preferred certifications include Sanitation/Safe Food Handling and prior institutional/healthcare kitchen experience.

• Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food meeting residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks meals in required quantities while ensuring palatability and nutrition.
• Leads kitchen staff with food prep, trays, cleaning and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service area during operations.
• Handles and stores food according to procedures and regulations.
