Job summary

The Rivers of Grosse Pointe is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join the Dining Services team. You will prepare delicious meals for residents, meet dietary needs, and contribute to an excellent team environment in our healthcare community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in food service in an institutional setting such as healthcare preferred.
• Desire to maintain a high standard of service excellence and contribute positively to the team culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents according to menu and dietary needs.
• Operate food service equipment (thermometers, knives, slicers, steamers, kettles).
• Use burners, grills, ovens and related equipment to prepare meals.
• Maintain, clean and sanitize equipment and work areas per safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with record keeping, food safety, and risk management requirements.
