Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driverers license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Monitor and control access to designated entrances, restricted areas, and employee-only locations.
• Verify visitor authorization and issue credentials, maintain access-related records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and coordinate with hospital personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized access and report security-related concerns.
