Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Access Credential Review in Watsonville, CA. You will support patient, staff, and visitor access, monitor entry points, and maintain secure, welcoming environments in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities include documenting access activity, responding to incidents, and patrolling facilities with a focus on safety and customer service. Minimum requirements include security experience and a high school diploma; a guard card is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks are required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screening is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry following healthcare facility procedures for visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate hospital personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain logs and documentation related to visitor access, incidents, and other security-related activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, access points, and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
