Job summary

United Dairy Farmers is seeking an Ice Cream Specialist (Dip Clerk) for part-time work in Hamilton, OH. You will join the UDF team to deliver the Hi Five Guest Experience and handle hand-dipped cones, shakes and other items.

Responsibilities include friendly guest service, accurate POS operations, stocking, safety, and following all policies. Must be at least 16 years old and available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts on a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, and make change.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies located in the dip cabinets.
• Ability to recognize numbers, count and perform arithmetic for records.
• Ability to move merchandise to maintain shelves and displays.
• Ability to clean counters and other surfaces.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as -30°F for at least 2 minutes.
• Ability to tolerate temperatures as low as +33°F for at least 10 minutes.
• Ability to lift and place packages up to 21 pounds into a dip cabinet.

Responsibilities

• Overall Guest Services: Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience.
• DipSide Guest Services: Prepare shakes/malts, cups/cones, sundaes and sodas.
• Efficient Operation of Point of Sale System and Gas Console: process transactions and manage cash.
• Stocking Merchandise: keep shelves and dip cabinet stocked and presentable.
• Security: monitor guests to deter theft and follow cash procedures.
• Maintenance: keep the store clean and equipment temperatures in check.
• Reporting: complete time records and required documents.
• Other duties as assigned by Management
