Job summary

Lake Superior YMCA in Duluth, MN seeks energetic part-time gymnastics coaches to provide safe, engaging instruction for Preschool, Recreational, and Team programs. You will develop lesson plans, build strong relationships with families, and help foster a welcoming, inclusive Y community.

Qualifications include CPR/AED/First Aid, willingness to obtain certifications within 60 days, and knowledge of USAG XCEL/JR Olympic programs preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required or able to obtain within 60 days
• Must be able to demonstrate gymnastics instructor skills per YMCA standards
• Able to support equal opportunity and affirmative action in a diverse environment
• Experience with USAG XCEL or JR Olympic programs preferred

Responsibilities

• Instruct energizing, fun, and safe gymnastics lessons with prepared lesson plans for Preschool, Recreational, Boys, or Progressive/Team classes
• Build relationships with students and parents, encourage parent involvement and volunteers
• Maintain attendance and progress records; follow all YMCA safety and emergency procedures
• Model YMCA Core Values: Honesty, Caring, Respect, Responsibility
• Organize equipment and report damaged items; assist with open gyms and birthday parties as scheduled
• Recruit volunteers and support fundraising; work collaboratively with others to enhance member experience
