Job summary

Lake Superior YMCA in Duluth, MN is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead energizing fitness classes and support member wellness in a welcoming environment. As a member of the Healthy Living team, you will conduct classes like Yoga or Pilates, maintain attendance records, follow YMCA procedures, and help build connections among members while upholding inclusivity.

CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required; national or YMCA group fitness certification preferred; 1 year teaching

Qualifications

• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
• National certification in group fitness or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification required.

Responsibilities

• Leads group exercise classes as directed to achieve YMCA mission and goals.
• Conducts energizing, safe, and educational classes.
• Builds effective relationships with members and helps them connect with the YMCA.
• Maintains knowledge of wellness trends to provide accurate information to members.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures and responds to emergencies.
• Fosters an inclusive environment that supports equity and diversity.
